Welcome to Ross Creek Tropicals! We're located just 15 minutes east of Gympie in Southeast Queensland. Our doors are open to the public every Thursday through Saturday from 8am to 5pm. For added flexibility, we also offer appointments during the week based on availability. And for those outside our local area, rest assured that we proudly ship our plants across Queensland, New South Wales, the Australian Capital Territory, and Victoria every Monday and Tuesday.

Frequently Asked Questions

How will my plant be shipped?

Your plants will be shipped in our special plant boxes. To reduce the cost of shipping as well as movement of your plant in transit we may reduce the original size of the box to ensure your plant arrives safely to you.

How long will it take to get to me?

We ship our plants at the start of each week generally a Monday or tuesday.

QLD deliveries expect to be delivered in 2-4 days.

NSW and VIC 4-6 days

Our plants are watered and packed to ensure they stay hydrated and happy for up to 3 weeks.

How long will it take to fruit?

These details can be found on each plants description. Generally for a grafted, marcotted or cutting grown tree 1-2 years or a seedling 3-5 years.

What do I do when my plants arrive?

Give them a good drink and slowly introduce them back in to full sun. Ensure they're protected from harsh sun , wind and the cold.

How do I make an appointment to visit?

Simply use the make an appointment tab. Or call 0406 998 961 during business hours to arrange a time. Generally the nursery is open every Saturday 8am-4pm

How long will it take when im waiting for a tree to come back available?

We strive to keep as many plants available all year as we can but this isn't always possible. Make sure you have left your details to be notified when the product is back in stock so you dont miss out!

How big will my plant be?

As our boxes are 91 cm high your plant will be within this height range. A lot of our plants are bigger than this and we endeavour to fold the growth down in to the box. On some occasions we need to cut the tree to fit. Don't worry a little pruning will have your plants push new growth quickly.

Will a tropical plant grow in a cold climate?

Tropical and sub tropical plants do best with temperatures above 5 degrees. To ensure the best success we recommend protecting your tree from frost, cold wind and having the warmest position possible for success. We find following these simple steps give your plants the best success in a happy life.
