Cape Gooseberry

The Cape Gooseberry is a low growing bush with bright, orange berrys enclosed in a pale brown casing called the Cape.

The Cape berry is the size of a cherry and is very aromatic and full of tiny seeds. The fruit are delicious eaten straight from the bush or made into gooseberry Jam. They Cape Gooseberry has many uses and can be added to salads, desserts and cooked in to Gooseberry Pie!

They can also be dried or used in savoury dishes with meats and seafood. An Old Fashion Favourite!
