Lemon drop - Mangosteen

The Lemon Drop mangosteen is a very attractive slow growing small tree, with dark green leaves native to Central America.

The oval shaped fruits are produced generally in summer reaching up to 2cm but can produce multiple crops from spring to autumn.

The white flesh has a subacid flavour similar to the Achacharu.

A very ornamental tree making an excellent display potted plant.

Lemon drop require protection from frosts when young and is hardy to most soil conditions.
