M9 - Apple Rootstock

M9 is very dwarfing reaching 1/3 of the size of a seedling tree.

The M9 apple rootstock will produce a small tree with heavy crops and early yield.

Due to fruiting from such a young age trees will require support through staking or a trellis.

Other studies have shown when using M9 as a rootstock the fruit is larger, and will ripens earlier than on other rootstocks.

M9 is suitable for high density planting and is the most commonly planted dwarf apple rootstock in the world.
