Macadamia integrifolia x Tetraphylla

This Macadamia has attractive creamy pink flower clusters from August to September which then produce a rough shelled nut over a long period. Ripe nuts fall to the ground from March to July.

Macadamia nuts are high in monounsaturated faty acids. The prized, nutritious seed is sweet and can be eaten raw as a dessert nut and can also be
ground into a flour and then mixed with cereal flours to enrich the protein content.

A large tree in rainforest areas but much smaller in other locations.
This tree should be planted in full sun growing 6-8m in height and is great for attracting bees and birds to the garden.
