The Mallika Mango is the result of the hybridisation of the Indian mango varieties Neelum and Dasheri.
The Mallika produces a high quality, fiber-less Mango fruit that has prominent citrus, melon and honey notes and is exceptionally sweet. 
Mallika trees are moderately vigorous growers, with dense spreading canopy to 3-5m however its possible to be kept at a smaller size with regular pruning.
Mallika is generally picked green and fruit has filled out and bench ripened as fully tree ripened fruits can internal breakdown resulting in a poor flavour. 
Mallika shows relatively good resistance to black spot and anthracnose.
