Mt White Finger Lime (QLD only)

The Mt White lime is a rare , thornless variety of the native Australian limes and has elongated finger-shaped fruits, but has broader leaves. Fruits are green skinned with greenish pulp. They have larger vesicles than regular fingerlimes and thicker skin with large oil glands like the gympie round lime. Native to the rainforest of the Cape York Peninsula in Australia. It grows as an under-storey shrub and has been recorded at a height’s of 15m. Due to its limited distribution, this species is classified as rare and is protected.
