The Northern Spy apple originated as a seedling that in western New York in 1828 initially selected for its excellent and long keeping fruit.

Northern Spy became a popular rootstock with Australian orchardists due to its good resistance to Wooly Aphids. It is still in limited use today.

Northern Spy produces a medium sized tree with good cropping from a reasonably young tree age.

* Please note this plant has been potted from a bare root plant, ready to graft and plant out or put in a larger pot.
