Orange - Chinotto (Qld only)

The Chinnoto is a thornless ,highly ornamental small citrus tree with small orange like fruits, well suited to container growing or gardens generally growing to only 2m. The Chinotto Orange is well known for being the unique flavour of the Italian Chinotto soft drink. The flesh of the Chinotto is bitter but develops a sweetness with cooking great for Marmalade and Jams. The rind of the Chinnoto is candied and essential in the Italian Christmas cake Pannetone.
