Pineapple - Gold Nugget

The Golden Nugget Pineapple is an attractive evergreen plant with strap like foliage and a stunning inflorescence with red to yellow bracts in the first year. During the second year of growth a medium to large sized fruit appears on top of the stem. Plant in a full sun position in fertile, well drained soil for best results. Fertilise in spring and summer, Fruit will be ripe and ready to pick when the leaves on top of the fruit are approximately 10cm long.
